Use the commercial 10+ years roof age band for a territory campaign aimed at older roofs.
Rooftop HVAC
Require rooftop equipment present, 2+ or 5+ visible units for a mechanical-product campaign.
Business type
Specify warehouses, industrial buildings, retail, offices or other offered business types relevant to the sales program.

The file you get

What's in every row

  • Building address and area for the agreed territory
  • Commercial business type
  • Building size band
  • Roof age band and material
  • Rooftop HVAC presence or visible-unit band when selected
  • Why each building matched the agreed property criteria
  • Owner or decision-maker information when ordered as add-ons

Every property says why it matched. Owner and decision-maker research are added when you order them.

Who uses this list

Roofing-product manufacturers

Request territory files by roof material and age band so channel representatives can discuss selected buildings with installers.

Mechanical-product distributors

Build an account campaign around business type, building size and visible rooftop-unit bands, then support dealer surveys.

Dealer-network sales managers

Describe territory boundaries and the required file layout before ordering a custom sales-team file.

Worked example

One dealer-supported product sale in a territory

Assumptions for this model:

  • Use an 80-building standard Subscribe & save list as the data-cost starting point; agree any custom scope and price separately.
  • Assume one booked product sale from those 80 target buildings, with manufacturer or distributor revenue of $43,850.
  • Assume 27% remains after direct product and fulfillment costs. Owner and decision-maker research are excluded.
  • Budget 44 channel-sales hours at $71 per hour and two technical reviews at $480 each.

Put the dealer’s product campaign in the request

A manufacturer territory file should start with the building characteristics that fit the product campaign and the areas each channel representative can cover. Specify roof material and age for a roofing program. For mechanical-product outreach, describe the rooftop-unit band and business types the dealer wants to approach.

I would keep those campaigns separate when the field teams need different surveys. An older membrane-roof file gives a roofing representative buildings to discuss with an installer. A rooftop-HVAC file gives a distributor a starting point for dealer conversations about equipment surveys and service opportunities.

Describe the handoff before ordering the territory

A custom territory request should identify who will work the buildings and what information that person needs when accepting an account for outreach. Include the territory boundaries and requested file layout. If several dealers cover the same market, describe that arrangement while agreeing the scope.

Use the manufacturer and distributor inquiry for a whole state, several markets or a custom sales-team file. Explain the intended import and required columns there. Ground Control supplies CSV and Excel, with help mapping fields for sales tools; review the team’s requirements before assigning the file.

Give the installer the reason the building matched

Each building’s match reason gives the channel representative a specific roof or rooftop-equipment selection to discuss with the installer before an owner conversation. Keep that reason with the address. Record which dealer accepts the prospect and who will arrange any authorized survey.

The property owners have not asked for quotes. Agree a first contact and a follow-up owner within the sales team. After a visit, store the installer’s field findings beside the prospecting criteria. The representative can then discuss the proposed product scope using the same account record as the person preparing the work.

Asset Search for installed-base work is the request path when the campaign needs an asset search beyond the offered building filters. State what the team needs found and the territory involved. Agree the screening scope before allocating dealer outreach time.

The money example starts with a standard 80-building data cost and one booked product sale, then includes channel-sales labor and technical reviews. Add the agreed custom-file expense to that worksheet. Compare contribution at the manufacturer or distributor level with the costs that business carries, keeping the installer’s contract value in its own sales record.

Questions about this list

Can manufacturers request building lists by sales territory?

Yes. Use the manufacturer inquiry to describe the territory and property criteria for your sales team or dealer network. Whole states, several markets and custom file requirements belong in that request so the scope can be agreed before ordering.

Which roof and equipment criteria can the request use?

Commercial criteria include roof material, the 10+ years roof age band, building size and business type. Rooftop HVAC can require equipment present, 2+ or 5+ visible units. Specify the combination that fits the channel campaign.

What does a manufacturer territory file cost?

Standard building lists are $10 to $20 per building at the Subscribe & save tiers shown here, with orders from 10 buildings. Agree custom scope and pricing through the inquiry. Owner information and decision-maker contact research are priced add-ons.

How should I describe dealer territories and the file layout?

Provide the areas each dealer or representative covers and describe how the sales team needs to use the file. Include required columns and import needs in the inquiry so those requirements can be reviewed with the property criteria.

Where do I request an installed-base search beyond the building filters?

Use Asset Search for installed-base work, linked in the explanation below. Describe the asset or installation you need found and the territory to cover. Keep those requirements in the custom scope before ordering.

Can my team add named decision-makers and import the file?

Yes. Commercial decision-maker research is a priced add-on with role, email, phone and LinkedIn where found. We never charge for a contact we don't find. Ground Control delivers CSV and Excel within 48 hours after payment, with help mapping fields for sales tools.

What if a delivered building fails the agreed matching criteria?

Report the wrong match within 30 days and we credit it back. Ground Control only sends properties it is 90%+ sure match. Imagery is never older than two years when the order runs.
